Dr. Cheryl Ostryn

Dr. Cheryl Ostryn received her doctoral degree in Special Education (focus Autism and
Applied Behavior Analysis) from The Pennsylvania State University and completed her post
doctoral work at The University of Colorado, Denver. She is a Board-Certified Behavior
Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D), and an Associate Professor of Applied Behavior Analysis at
Russell Sage College. Dr. Ostryn has published in several scientific journals, several grant
funded papers, and has presented her research both nationally and internationally. She sits on
the editorial review board for five journals, and her main research interests include teaching
functional communication to individuals with autism and teaching sexuality education to
individuals with developmental disabilities and recently published a book on this topic.
