HUMAIRA ZAFAR

I had completed my graduation degree from Isra University, Hyderabad in 2003 and MPhil degree in Microbiology from the University of Health Sciences, Lahore in 2011. Currently I’m pursuing the PhD degree from National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS).
The portfolio of 118 national and international publications, along with 22 public awareness articles featured in leading newspapers, are the significant contributions to academia, research and public health awareness. In 2022, I have successfully won two research projects, securing competitive funding grants from HRI, NIH and NUMS.
For a National cause to end childhood lead poisoning, I am having a credit to serve as a technical advisor in pathology for a UNICEF-funded project in 2025. In addition, the certification as a lead auditor for ISO 9001:2015 focusing the quality management system, will help to further strengthen the quality systems in various
domains of medical field.
The fourteen years of experience in academic and administrative leadership,. I had served as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, Senior Professor, Head of the Department of Pathology, Director of the BS Medical Laboratory Technology program, and as a member of the Department of Health Professional Education.
All this extensive background, which also includes 14 yrs experience in medical journalism, will play a vital role in upholding and enhancing the quality standards at Bahria University College of Medicine, Islamabad, which is my current workplace.
