Julie R. Bangs

Julie R. Bangs, MSN, RN, CCRN, is a psychiatric nurse, nurse educator, clinical informatics specialist, and
psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner graduate student. Across more than 19 years of nursing practice,
her experience has included emergency, critical care, trauma, psychiatric nursing, clinical research,
education, and healthcare leadership. She is the founder and project director of the Psychedelic Experience
Registry, an independent participant-centered longitudinal registry under development to support structured
reporting of psychedelic experiences, safety, wellbeing, and outcomes over time. Her work emphasizes
trauma-informed care, privacy-conscious data governance, medication reconciliation, harm reduction,
evidence translation, and the responsible integration of real-world evidence into psychiatric and community
mental health. She is also developing a professional textbook on the role of the PMHNP in psychedelic-
informed mental health care.
