Teo Siow Hwa

Dr. Siow Hwa Teo is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Malaysia. He obtained his Ph.D. in Catalysis from the Catalysis Science and Technology Research Centre, Universiti Putra Malaysia, in 2015. He subsequently served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the same institution before joining the Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan, as an Assistant Professor from 2017 to 2019.
His research focuses on modern catalysis for alternative and renewable energy applications, particularly in the design and synthesis of heterogeneous thermo- and photo(electro)catalysts for sustainable energy conversion. His work includes photocatalytic water splitting, CO? photoreduction, carbon capture, thin-film perovskite solar cells, and semiconductor materials for clean energy technologies. Dr. Teo has actively contributed to catalysis and renewable energy research through scientific publications, international collaborations, and advanced materials development for sustainable chemical engineering applications.
